Long-Term Community Planning

The city must look for ways to expand and diversify the tax-base, since a large percentage of the city's tax-revenue currently comes from the Xcel Energy King Power Plant that will eventually close. For our city to succeed long-term, we must prepare for the future.

Advocate for Commuters on Highway 36

As a commuter, Carly knows too well the frustrations of commuters that sit in traffic on highway 36 or sit endlessly waiting for a green turn signal to get on the highway. Not only is it frustrating, but the current highway conditions can be dangerous. I will advocate for you, and work with government agencies, like MnDOT, to improve our daily commute.

Parks & Trails

Growing up in Oak Park Heights, Carly knows that the parks are used year-round, whether it is playing on the swing set or ice skating at the park. These parks leave lasting memories for younger generations and they attract young families wanting to start a family. Carly will work hard to preserve and expand our parks, so every child can have the memories she had.

A Voice for You & Your Values

Carly is determined to represent you. She will always be around to talk on the phone or over coffee about the issues directly impacting you and your family, whether it is repainting a crosswalk, something wrong with a local park, or whatever concerns you. She will be there to be your voice at the table.

Sustainabilty

Oak Park Heights must think long-term about environmental sustainability. Land-use practices that helps maintain clean water, lakes, and ponds, and natural ecosystems will be top-of-mind. Along with recycling programs and other eco-friendly practices.
